Biography

Dr Qi Zhang received his PhD in 1995 from Monash University, Australia, and joined Surface Engineering and Nanotechnology Institute at Cranfield University in 1996. He is a senior lecturer in Cranfield University. His research interests include the synthesis of nanostructured materials and characterization and wet chemistry coating technologies. He is a fellow of IOM3 and a charted scientist. He has established a strong research track record by leading large projects, with over 170 peer review journal articles. His research interest includes energy storage technologies by batteries, supercapacitors, dielectric ceramics energy storage, ferroelectric thin films for cooling, functional coatings for anti-corrosion, surface modification, electrochromic, etc. applications.
